Benefit Ultra Shine lip glosses

The Benefit Ultra Plush lip glosses just came out and while those are amazing, Benefit's ultra shine lip glosses are pretty great also. Last Christmas I bought the mini holiday set that contained six glosses. I loved them so much I bought a few more as Christmas presents for my friends and family!

Unlike the ultra plush glosses, these glosses become opaque with little effort.

They have a brush tip applicator.

Smell: They smell really good.Kinda fruity mixed with vanilla .

Price: Individually, they cost $18, but because I bought them in a set I paid $26. This set isn't available anymore but it might come out again this holiday season.

What to keep in a school makeup bag

With school almost starting I thought it would be very appropriate to do a "whats in my school makeup bag" type blog post.

Here's what I keep in my school makeup bag:

1. Hand Sanitizer: Obviously, it is very important to keep your hands clean throughout the day.I love getting the little scented hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works because they smell really nice.

2. Hand cream: This is more of a winter essential, but it is always good to have to keep your hands soft. My favorite is "Hand Food" by Soap & Glory because it does its job well and smells amazing.

3. Blotting Papers: Super oily skin is never an attractive look so I use these to remove excess oil on my face after gym class or on a hotter day.

4. Blot powder: If you have extremely oily skin I would recommend touching up your t-zone with blot powder as needed during the day after blotting with oil absorbing sheets.I use "get even" blot powder by Benefit.

5.Lip Balm:A must have for everyone as chapped lips don't feel or look good.

6.Lipstick/Lip gloss: I always like to have one or two lip glosses with me because lip gloss really refreshes your look and makes you look more put together.

7. Eye Lash Curler: Curling your eyelashes really opens up your eyes and makes your eyes look bigger and more awake.

8.Q-tips: These are important to have as sometimes eyeliner and mascara will smudge underneath your eye and these clean that up perfectly.

9. Hair Brush:
10.Perfume: I personally don't like it when girls constantly spray themselves with heavy perfume all day, however I do bring an atominizer (a small spray container) with perfume to spray once a day, if that to freshen up.

All of this may seem like a lot,but it all fits in the makeup bag below:

Urban Decay Deluxe Palette

The Urban Decay Deluxe palette is one of my favorite palettes because of the vibrant colorful shades. In the summer, I think that this is a perfect palette because it has all the bright fun colors, while still having three neutral shades.

The palette contains twelve eye shadows and a mini primer potion.

Packaging: I love the packaging because the silver in the front looks really cool and the purple velvet feels very nice.

Quality of eye shadows: Like all other UD eye shadows I have tried, these shadows are incredibly pigmented. Their consistency is very smooth and easily blendable.

Swatches:

Price: I got mine at Sephora for $38.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Hey everyone! So today I wanted to do a review and some swatches of the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I ordered this the day it came out on sephora.com which was back in January. It is an amazing palette for every day looks!

The palette comes with 12 beautiful eye shadows, double ended brush, and a mini lip gloss in "naked."

This palette is perfect for creating tons of neutral eye looks. You can create a very soft and natural eye makeup look or create a dark and dramatic smokey eye. The range of neutrals makes the palette very versatile.

If you are new to makeup and want some eye shadows I would definitely recommend checking out this palette. It costs $50 which I think it pretty good for the quality and quantity of the shadows. I personally think that it is better to spend $50 on this palette than to get a bunch of random neutral palettes from the drugstore.

Quality: All of these eye shadows are very pigmented! The texture is very soft which makes these shadows easy to blend. The one downfall is that I sometimes get a lot of fall out depending on which shades I use.You have to be very careful with the shadows that have actual glitter because otherwise you will end up with a glitter all over your face.

Color Description:

Foxy: the highlighter color in this palette, a yellow matte shade
Half Baked: super shimmery gold
Bootycall: shimmery white(perfect lid color!)
Chopper:  shimmery copper with silver glitter
Tease: matte taupe brown
Snakebite: shimmery dark brown
Suspect: metallic light golden brown
Pistol: metallic gray
Verve: shimmery gray brown
YDK: super shimmery brown with lots of different colored glitter
Busted: plum brown
Blackout: matte black(can double as an eyeliner for the lash line!)

Best Concealer

Hey everyone! So today I wanted to talk about the best concealer I have ever found for blemishes. It's the "Studio Finish Concealer" by Mac. It costs $17.50 for 7 grams which,in my opinion, isn't that bad for an amazing concealer. It is heavily pigmented and will cover all redness from those pesky breakouts.

*It comes is a large range of colors so anyone who wanted to wear it could.

Consistency: This concealer is very creamy which makes it easy to blend in.Although it is creamy, it is also somewhat drying which is why I would not recommend it for the under eye area.

Longevity:
Oily Skin- You may need to touch it up a little bit during the day because the oils in your skin will break up the concealer eventually.
Combination skin- I have combination skin and I only touch it up in the summer when my skin is more oily.During the fall and winter I have never needed to reapply.
Dry skin- You shouldn't need to touch it up during the day.

Overall: I love this concealer because it covers everything I need covered while not looking cakey and obvious. I have tried tons and tons of concealers from high end to drugstore and none of them have measured up to Mac's Studio Finish concealer!
