Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye And Cheek Palette Review and swatches

For Summer 2013, Tarte has released a collection inspired by a synchronized swimming group called the Aqualillies.Included in that collection is a waterproof eye and cheek palette. This is perfect for summer as the heat tends to make makeup melt off!

The Aqualillies:
How gorgeous is the water in that picture?! Makes me want to go swimming!

The palette is fairly large. However, it is ideal for travel!

Amazonian Clay Shimmering Powder in "Champagne": shimmery champange

Amazonian Clay Mineral Powder Bronzer in "Park Ave Princess": matte cool toned bronzer

Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in "Captivating": matte pinky coral

I really like how the blush and bronzer are matte. I find that it is harder to find good, non-chalky matte face products so this palette is very unique in that it includes two great quality matte powders. The highlighter is pretty shimmery, yet there is not a speck of chunky glitter.

Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow:

Hammock: matte deep brown
Bikini: shimmery tan
Barefoot: shimmery yellow-beige
Parasol: shimmery pink-toned white
Sun Deck: matte light warm brown
Poolside: shimmery teal with a slight golden duo chrome

These shadows are buttery, smooth, and very pigmented. Although four of the shades have a far amount of shimmer, they don't have any chunky glitter so there is no problem with fallout! I really like how Tarte included a blue along with the beautiful neutral shades! When I use this palette, I love the look of a pop of color that I get from lining my lower lash line with "poolside."

Cost: $38

I love this palette! Each product included is and easily blendable and smooth-feeling. It's an amazing value and limited edition so grab it while you can!

Urban Decay Naked Basics

Urban Decay has recently released a new "naked" palette called "Naked Basics." I have both the "Naked 1" and "Naked 2" palette and while I love them, "Naked Basics" is my absolute favorite! I am a huge fan of matte makeup products and this palette contains 5 completely matte shades and 1 shimmery one. I wish that Urban Decay had made all the shadows matte, but I am still really happy with they have produced.
*Size: This palette is really small, especially in comparison to the other Naked palettes. For reference, it is the slightest bit smaller than an IPhone, making it an ideal palette to travel with.
*Texture: As with all Urban Decay shadows, these shades are all smooth, soft, and incredibly finely-milled. Their  buttery texture makes blending a breeze!
*Pigmentation: All shadows are true to the color they appear in the pan.

Shadow Description:

Venus- the only non-matte shadow of the palette, a shimmery creamy white
Foxy- this shade is also featured in the "Naked 2" palette, a yellow cream color
W.O.S. ( Walk Of Shame)- a pink toned nude
Naked 2- a light taupe
Faint- deep chocolate brown
Crave- dark black

*Price: $27 on urban decay.com/ $32 on sephora.com or in Sephora stores

*Overall: This palette is a must-have for anyone who wears eye shadows. These matte neutral shades are perfect for creating a beautiful everyday eye look! In my opinion, this is the best Naked palette yet.

Best Bronzer

My favorite bronzer is Hoola by Benefit. I love it because it is matte so it is perfect for contouring. It is also great for warming up your complexion for that gorgeous summer glow!
I absolutely love the packaging because it it very sturdy and can be thrown around in a purse or makeup bag with out getting damaged. I don't think that the powder would shatter even if you were to throw the thing on the ground, although who would ever want to do that?

Texture- The texture is incredibly smooth and the powder is very finely milled.

Smell- This bronzer actually smells amazing! It has a subtle nice clean scent.

Price- Benefit's Hoola bronzer costs $28 for 8 grams. I have used it almost everyday for over a year and I am not even close to hitting pan. It is definitely worth every penny for how much product you get.

If your not totally sure if you want to spend almost $30 on a bronzer, there is a set called tan about town that has a mini one. Also in this set there is "Bad Gal lash" which is one of my absolute favorite mascaras and a mini 'Some kind of gorgeous" foundation. It only costs $12!

Overall thoughts: What else can I say? It is my absolute favorite bronzer of all time because it looks very natural while still doing an excellent job of contouring!
